Non-destructive techniques

The shearography and TV-holography are the technologies used to detect inclusion or adhesion defects between layers of materials. This technique of NDT (Non Destructive Testing) is well suited to composite carbon / carbon type.

An internal fault is indicated by a surface deformation (in the order of micrometers) of the surface of the part to the right of the defect. Its visualization is in real time using a software developed by HOLO 3.

Deformation occurs when the material is applied: thermal stress (a few degrees, see 0.1 K), air (Ap ~ 10m Bar), ....

We are able to study with our partner IXTREM any association of optical techniques with the following technologies:

  • Ultrasound
  • Penetrant testing
  • Testing magnetic and electro-magnetic
