Cameras used to capture movement
|
The device is equipped with an optical movement capture system composed of four infrared cameras. This system lets you acquire information concerning the position and orientation of 3D interfaces in space (3D mouse, datagloves, etc...) for the purpose of :
- Providing the user with a means of being immersed in and interacting naturally with the scene being projected.
- Studying worker's movements in their working environment in order to evaluate the physical constraints to which they are subject and thus improve the ergonomics of their work station in order to reduce these constraints.
- Acquiring a real actor's movements then applying them to virtual characters in order to create flowing and natural animations.
- Studying the movements of sports people during their performances.
