The reflection of light on the surface of an object (mirror, glass surface, ...) can be used to determine the geometry of this surface.
HOLOMAP ® is the observation of a figure as a reflection on the surface to be measured. Of the resulting image, its differences with the initial image, we deduce the geometry of the surface.
The result is presented in the form of maps. They represent the position (X, Y, Z in the coordinate system of measurement) of a dense sampling of discrete points on the surface of the object, and the vector normal to the surface at these points.
The equipment consists of a structure, one or more projectors or screens, one or more cameras. A patented calibration procedure is used to determine the transformation parameters from images to 3D points.
Two technologies co-exist for 2 types of application :
- Measurement of automotive glazing : this glazing has a marked curvature and a surface of up to 1m ². HOLOMAP 1 ® provides access to their shape with an uncertainty of ± 0.15 mm (at 2 σ) in 0.2 s. (Off treatment).
- Measurement of flat surfaces : area 330x330 mm ² max. HOLOMAP 2 ® provides access to their shape with an uncertainty of ± 0.5 microns at 2 σ in 10 s. (Off treatment).
Technology :
HOLO3 is nows looking for business partners to disseminate this technology in the industry. The partnership may take the form of distribution agreement or real technology transfer.
